This site is intended to interest the men who held membership  in the Buffalo State College chapter of Sig Tau, and perhaps the sons of the sons of a Sig Tau Rho who have  gone before us. But it is a public site accessible by anyone. The Sigma Tau Rho alumni group is the longest-existing fraternal alumni group at BSC.

If you wish your e-mail,  occupation,  favorite  charity, or web link listed (or removed), write Henry Dewey or Hank  Nuwer.

Disclosures (Da little tiny fine print):

Financial:  The hazing newsletter is put out with real paper and mailed with  stamps that the post office asks money for (The Nerve!); contact Sigma Tau Rho newsletter editor Hank Dewey (18 Misty La, E. Amherst, NY 14051) if you can offset some  costs with stamps or $. This is the hard sell approach. Y'all noticed?

Personal Disclosure: This page is not an official site of Sigma Tau Rho,   but serves  as an on-line  gathering place for members to update   each other on personal  and business  changes in our lives.
The views on hazing  and binge  drinking   elsewhere on Hank Nuwer's  web pages and in  his writings are those  of Hank Nuwer, and he alone  is accountable and fully responsible  for  them.

This page has no connection  with any international  fraternity  other than its long-ago past  connection with Sigma Tau Gamma before  and after national Greek groups were  banned in New York State. This  page has NO legal connection with the international fraternity, but the editors  welcome any memories Sigma Tau Gamma members may have about the Buffalo State  chapter before the SUNY system banned fraternal groups (or after reinstatement).   We do wish to link with other Sig Tau chapters.

This web site is paid for by Hank Nuwer. No contributions are personally accepted, but if you'd like to make a donation in honor of faculty brother Fraser Drew, please earmark your next BSC alumni donation to the Butler Library Special Collections.

Please send your donation to "The Fraser Drew Fund," c/o Dan DiLandro, archivist; Buffalo State College, Butler Library Archives, 1300 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14222; the money will be used to purchase books and archival materials. (Note from Hanks: We'd also like to locate the lost annual histories with a photo record of that year's fraternal events and get them into the BSC archives if the school wants them).
