Baseball hazing

Q by Jonah Keri: What kind of hazing did you have to go through as a rookie?

Ryan Zimmerman (Nationals): Every team dresses up the rookies. I had to do it twice. In September ’05, they dressed us up as women for our flight from New York to San Diego — that was a long one. Last year we had a bunch of Halloween costumes. I was a farmer, with a blowup goat. Those things are fun; it’s all more funny than anything.
