OXFORD, Ohio (WKRC) – A hazing incident at Miami University that left a young man fighting for his life now leaves dozens of young men facing charges.

Eighteen men now face 64 counts of misdemeanor hazing and assault. Attorney Rex Elliot says his client was kicked, repeatedly beaten and forced to drink large amounts of alcohol.

Elliot says the young man almost died.

“He was beaten from literally from his head to his toe with paddles that had been spiked with nails,” said Elliot. “He was hospitalized. They feared for his life; they weren’t sure he was going to make it.”
