Jimmy Grizz Kennedy writes on Twitter that he considers Prince a rookie until Game Four

Moderator:  Passing along Jimmy Griz Kennedy’s response on Twitter to punter Steve Weatherford’s apology. So at least one New York Giant considers the Prince Amukamara tub toss to be rookie hazing by Jason Pierre-Paul.

Also included Weatherford’s apology below.

Jimmy GRIZZ Kennedy ?@Kennedy73  wrote this on Twitter:  Outsider (sic) will never understand how we bond @Weatherford5 Prince is a rookie until game 4! Plus Toughness is key! Even Blood brothers battle!

Steve Weatherford ?@Weatherford5 wrote this on August 19.

I want to apologize to the fans… The video I posted was distasteful. Our team is a family, and we love each other. I am sorry to the fans

And over at the Star-Ledger, Osi Umenyiora gave his opinion on the tub-thumper hazing. Excerpt:

Asked if he said anything to Pierre-Paul about the incident, Umenyiora replied with a laugh, “I was right there. They didn’t catch me on camera, but I was there egging the whole thing on.”

And in the Big Apple, the New York Daily News conjectures that Prince’s dunking was a way of some team members questioning whether he has enough toughness to succeed in the National Football League.
