Sad start to the semester, SUNY Oneonta

Nicolas J. Stagnitta, 20, a SUNY Oneonta student from Patchogue, was found dead at a Chestnut Street residence shortly after 11 a.m., according to a media release.

An initial autopsy and investigation indicated Stagnitta died by suicide. The investigation is continuing, pending results of toxicology testing.
