This is a working calendar of course topics.  Changes may be added or subtracted by instructor Hank Nuwer depending on circumstances during semester.

 

January 14  Opening Day of Classes.  Welcome.  Syllabus discussion. Learn student names as quickly as possible. Discussion: Current events. Joe Biden signs the new federal. Stop Hazing Law.   California fires.  Student Projects to be assigned later.

Finish Jan. 14 Lesson.  Nike. 1) Facts in news 2) MESSAGES and advertising and public relations 3) New challenges and message strategies 4) Public perception and sweatbox allegations

Important: when news gets used by government to result in propaganda: Iraq and weapons of mass destruction during George W. Bush presidency.
