Schedule hazing alleged in Colorado: Rocky Mountain News

From the RMN:

The actions of six Roosevelt High School students involved in an apparent hazing incident have sparked an investigation by the district attorney’s office in Delta, where the incident happened.

Martin Foster, superintendent of the RE-5J School District, said six students were suspended last week for five days, and the suspension was still in effect Tuesday.

Foster would not elaborate on the nature of the suspension, simply saying he is looking into the incident and plans to take appropriate action.

“I’m not in a position to discuss student discipline,” he said. “That is a matter we keep confidential.”

According to 9News, parent Jenn Baucum said her son was one of five freshman boys who were held down while upperclassmen rubbed their genitals on the boys’ faces.

The Tribune spoke with several Roosevelt baseball players, coach Alan Gibson and a current manager with the team Tuesday night. However, everyone, including some parents, refused to comment.
