Good morning.  Back with posts after Indiana power outage and beginning of courses at my college.

South Dakota, mulling over the merits of a state hazing bill, also has a high school case in front of administrators and law enforcement officials. Here is the story link

This Nevada Father’s Story Gets to Heart of High School Hazing Problem

Things just escalate so darn fast.

Thanks to the dad for speaking out. Hoping son can get assistance. Hoping the hazers have had remorse.

Did they try to get at the father  (a coach in another sport) through abusing his son?

Hockey hazing reportedly turned down several notches

The problem is that even the minor hazing in PRO hockey sends a message to high school and college athletes that hazing is all fun and games.  But it is a start, and a start is a start is a start. On the other hand, this writer is editorializing that hazing, a crime, isn’t so bad if people cut down a bit.  But then again, no one would say it is ok that someone shoplifts or only once in a while teases pets.  I wish the writer would stick to facts instead of leading impressionable young readers to his own biases.
