Commentary: Washington State needs to provide details if a crime is suspected

Washington State’s Pi Beta Phi sorority is now inactive, and Washington State itself is making the situation worse by allowing rumors to circulate over campus instead of doing what a public campus must do by law: report crimes swiftly and truthfully.  This has happened all too often at state institutions. A new link on hanknuwer.com will list non-compliant institutions–schools that do too little or too late when a hazing is said to have occurred on campus.
