Australian water polo hazing four years ago drew worldwide notice.

The Australian reported that a teen-age water polo player was stripped, assaulted, and left
naked and bound in a hotel. Coaches assessed a minor penalty only, drawing widespread debate
in Australia over the appropriateness of the punishment.
