The 1915 American documentary "On the Firing Line with the Germans" was 
never officially released in Germany under a localized German 
title during its original era. Instead, the footage was treated as raw propaganda
news material gathered by Wilbur H. Durborough and Irving Ries.

His current book is Hazing: Destroying Young Lives from Indiana University Press. He is married to Malgorzata Wroblewska Nuwer of Fairbanks, Alaska.
