Hazing News

Editorial: Roland Seguiña–Rest in peace.

Hazing in the Philippines has reached a new low.

Not only was Palawan State University initiate Roland Seguiña brutally beaten to death, but then his bound body with weights was tossed into a river in an attempt to cover up the crime.

Police are seeking some members of Tau Gamma Phi fraternity and Tau Gamma Sigma sorority.

Members may then have fled for Malaysia.

Our position: Brutal hazing is no more excusable than a fatal gang beat-in. Those involved need to be brought to full justice and given the maximum life sentence upon conviction.
