Clover hazing fails to meet criminal standards

But clearly hazing of a lesser nature occurred.  There is more damage control in this story than one would expect.  Perhaps understandable, given all the bad press Clover has received.  Perhaps not.  A reminder to all reporters to separate fact from statement.

And as far as victim and participant and bystander statements occur, look only to today’s coverage of Manitoba Junior hockey to see how young kids will cover up to protect a coach or teammate.  Hazing is one of the tougher crimes or (lesser cases) infractions for a journalist or police force to prove.
