Moderator opinion: Unlike University of Iowa, Northwestern University handles hazing matter appropriately

NU handled matter of female soccer team hazing by imposing small penalties and requiring educational program attendance. The school handled in textbook fashion to make appropriate response without over- or “under”-reacting. The school, most importantly, acknowledged that hazing took place and that it would not be tolerated. Compare NU’s handling of a hazing case with that of the University of Iowa.
